Daily Feeding Recommendation
We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not
allow him to become overweight. Use the table to identify the amount
to feed your dog. Use the column on the right if your dog needs to
maintain his current weight. Since your dog is an individual, whose
needs may vary from the average based on breed, age, activity,
temperature and individual metabolism, you may need to adjust the
daily amount up or down by 10 to 15%.
If your dog is already somewhat over ideal weight, you can help him
achieve a safe rate of weight loss by following these guidelines.
Use the column on the left if your dog needs to lose some weight.
For overweight dogs, adjust as needed to achieve a rate of weight
loss of about 2 to 4% of his body weight per month. Be sure to
eliminate table scraps and treat your dog if needed with PRO PLAN
Light biscuits by reducing the main meal quantity accordingly.
